The Poole Waterfront Museum is also home to the Poole Local History Centre and is situated next to Poole Quayside, in historic buildings. Attractions at the Poole Waterfront Museum include many interesting displays and exhibitions, such as the Studland Bay Wreck, information about the Roman occupation of the Poole area, and trade links with Newfoundland.

The Poole Study Gallery is one of Poole's most important art galleries and houses a large collection of mid-20th century art works, including paintings by a number of well-known artists, such as Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.
